CAMPFIRES: AT SUNRISE

The Sunrise Sessions at the 5th International GSAEC Conference were in such high demand that attendees couldn't attend every session they wanted. The CAMPFIRES: AT SUNRISE program offers a chance to virtually experience each session one sunrise at a time.

Sunrise Eye Opening

Facilitated by Suha Daou

Aristotle was often referred to as the “First Teacher.” Several centuries after the death of Aristotle, Al-Farabi, a renowned philosopher in 10th century Baghdad earned the title of “Second Teacher” for his work in extending the thoughts espoused by Aristotle. Al-Farabi argued that education's highest purpose was human flourishing: developing the whole person, unifying values, knowledge, and practice. This sunrise session brings this wisdom into the ongoing dialogue on coach education. From these ancient roots, we can expand our horizons.
