Our Program Recognition program is an opportunity for qualified graduate-level coaching programs to undergo a rigorous peer review and recognition process to verify that they meet or exceed our Academic Standards. Institutions may achieve Program Recognition by undergoing a rigorous peer-review process in which their operations are evaluated against the GSAEC Academic Standards. Over the last 15 years, GSAEC has developed the most comprehensive set of Academic Standards for graduate-level Coaching Education programs. Backed by, built on, and under constant review against the latest emergent research, the GSAEC Academic Standards includes standards for institutional accreditation, coach training, coaching supervision, program administration, curriculum, theory and knowledge, and more. |
Programs that successfully complete the evaluation process will become a GSAEC Recognized Program, and their graduates will be eligible to apply for the prestigious Graduate School Educated Coach (GSEC) credential.
Benefits to Your Program:
The Recognition process begins with a kickoff meeting with the GSAEC Review Team. Following the kick-off meeting, applicants undergo a period of guided self-study, assembling insights and materials about their program with help and direction from GSAEC; once all materials have been gathered, they're submitted for review. Once the Review Team has completed their initial review, another meeting with the applicant will be held to discuss findings, ask clarifying questions, and identify any areas for further investigation or revision.
