Graduate School Educated Coach (GSEC) Credential
The Graduate School Educated Coach (GSEC) Credential is a coaching credential for graduates of GSAEC Recognized Coaching Programs. Benefits of holding a GSEC Credential include:

EligibIlity
There are two requirements for an individual to hold a GSEC Credential:

They must prove they have graduated from one of the following coaching programs, on or after the date listed:
- Fielding University (September 2021)
- Wright Graduate University (July 2018)
- Maharishi International University (July 2023)
- They must have an active GSEC Membership with GSAEC ($100 fee annually).
If you have graduated from one of the programs detailed above, you may apply for the GSEC Credential! Please see below for instructions on how to apply and receive the credential, as well as information about the credential's renewal cycle.
GSEC Credential maintenance and renewal cycle
The GSEC Credential, once issued, is valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of GSEC Membership activation. In order to maintain the GSEC Credential, the credential holder must maintain an active GSEC Membership; the GSEC Membership must be renewed annually, for a fee of $100.00 USD. Failure to maintain an active membership will result in revocation of the GSEC Credential.
Additionally, every three years, individuals will need to re-certify their GSEC Credential by providing evidence of adequate continuing education and supervision, and paying a recertification fee. The specific requirements for re-certification can be found here.
Applying as a GSAEC Individual MemberIf you are already an Individual Member of GSAEC, you will need to follow the following steps to apply for the GSEC Credential:
Once your application fee has been paid and your transcript has been received, your application will be reviewed within 14 days, and you will be notified of either approval or denial. If your application has been approved, your existing membership will be adjusted to reflect your GSEC status. | Applying Without GSAEC Individual MembershipIf you are not already a GSAEC Individual Member, you may apply for the GSEC Credential without first activating a membership; however, upon approval of your GSEC Credential Application, your GSEC Credential will not be officially issued until you have activated a GSAEC GSEC Membership for $100 (annually renewing). Follow these steps to apply for the GSEC Credential:
Once your application fee has been paid and your transcript has been received, your application will be reviewed within 14 days, and you will be notified of either approval or denial. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR ANY GSAEC MEMBERSHIP until you have completed the GSEC Credential application process outlined above and had your application approved. If your application has been approved, your notification email will include a link to register your GSAEC GSEC Membership. Your GSEC Credential will officially be issued once your membership has been activated and all fees paid in full. |
