The 5th GSAEC International Conference

From Roots to Horizons: The Next Era in Coaching Education

July 15–17, 2026 | Washington, DC

Convened by the Graduate School Alliance for Education in Coaching (GSAEC)
Hosted by The George Washington University One Humanity Lab

Shaping the Future of Graduate-Level Coaching Education

About the Conference

The GSAEC 2026 International Conference is a dialogue-driven gathering for those shaping graduate coaching education worldwide.  This year the conference be hosted at George Washington University and will convene 100+ professionals representing:
    • 20+ universities offering graduate-level coaching education
    • Program directors and academic leaders
    • Faculty and scholar-practitioners
    • Graduate-level students
    • Learning and development professionals
    • Coaching standards contributors
    • Institutional decision-makers influencing curriculum and field development

Unlike large industry conferences, GSAEC is intentionally intimate and dialogical. Participants are curriculum designers, researchers, faculty, program leaders, practitioner-educators, and L&D professionals influencing how coaching is taught, studied, and integrated into academic and organizational contexts globally.

As coaching education navigates:

    • Strengthening research standards, methodological rigor, and evidence-based practice
    • Examining foundational assumptions of coaching education — including questions of coach neutrality, power, identity, and relational stance
    • AI, simulation, and emerging technologies in teaching and practice
    • Assessment innovation and evaluation frameworks
    • Ethics, access, and the evolving role of coaching within organizations and society

The institutions gathered at GSAEC help determine which ideas, tools, platforms, and practices shape the next generation of professional coaches.

Sponsorship at GSAEC is not traditional advertising. It is a structured opportunity to engage thoughtfully with the educators, researchers, students, and field leaders shaping the future of coaching education.
